£±. Be calm despite difficulties

We are reading the book of Psalm in accordance with the Bible study program and today¡Çs reading part is 62. The poem has the caption, ¡È For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David.¡É Jeduthun is a Levite and one of the three masters of music appointed by David.*1 It means merely that the choir sang a melody composed by Jeduthun without indication about the contents of the lyrics. For that reason it is difficult to guess the writing time. At least, it is well known as a poem which teaches faithful persons how to conduct when they face the evil of the world. 1. Sin committed by David

Psalm 51 is well known as a poem of repentance and forgiveness of the king David. Jewish people sung together the lyrics which tell the story of sin and forgiveness. David committed sins and was accused by the prophet Nathan. Then he repented following the words of Nathan. The caption of the poem presents the scene. ; - A psalm of David. 1. Be still before the Lord and wait

We continue the lecture of Psalm this August and today¡Çs text is Psalm 37. The writer teaches us to live by trusting in God without being envious of evil men who carry out successfully wicked schemes in the earthy world. The poem takes a form of lesson given by an elder to young fellows. The first letter of verses are in the alphabetical order, which continues till 40th. Today we will focus on 1 to 11 to reflect on the whole contents.
