1. Hating enemies was normal

We are reading the Gospels according to our education program of the Bible. Jesus gave to the audience, including his disciples, the Sermon on the Mont on lakeside of the Sea of Galilee. Matthew described the scene in Chapters 5-7. The verse 5:44 should be the most one of all concerning verses. The expression, ‘ Love your enemies,’ is also very well known in the Gospels. (³¤­…)

1.Sermon on the Mount

Jesus started the ministry in Galilee with the slogan ; - ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.’(Matthew4:17)
‘The kingdom of heaven’ is the same as ‘The kingdom of God in Mark (Mark 1:15)’ Matthew continues the record this way ; - Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.(Matthew 2:23) (³¤­…)

1. Temptation in the desert

Last week, we reflected on the Resurrection by reading Matthew chapter 28. The essential of Matthew’s message was, “Do not look for Jesus among the dead in the tomb. Because he has risen and is living.” And “He is going into Galilee. There you will see him."(see Matthew 28:5-7) (³¤­…)

1. Void tomb

We celebrate today Easter Sunday which is one of the most important festivals of the church. Friday crucifixion of Jesus made his followers hopeless. Because they did not yet Jesus would be raised from the death and appear again before his disciples 3 days later. Then the arrival of resurrected Jesus led them to become believers authentically, who commenced to witness to Jesus as the Son of God. Thus the church was given birth and the rite of Sunday service was established. (³¤­…)

1. Sinners condemned righteous Jesus

This evening we observe the worship of the Passion. Jesus was sentenced to death in the court of Pilate*, governor of Judea at the time, then brought to the place of execution. ¡¡John reported ; - So the soldiers took charge of Jesus.
